About me
I have been an educator for 32 years with Belvidere CUSD 100 with 25 years in the library. For the past 14 years, I have been a solo librarian in the district with 10 buildings. I went from being a librarian for one elementary to 6 elementaries, 2 middle schools, and 2 high schools when certified librarians were cut. The library assistants stepped up and ran the day-to-day at their schools while I worked with all of them. We expected a lot from them and they did a fabulous job. This year our team has expanded to 3 additional certified librarians. It has been a challenge being the only certified librarian, but I have grown as a person, a librarian, a leader, an accountant, and every other hat we wear every day in this career.
