About me
Ashlee Nishiya is a Library & Literacy Coordinator with more than 21 years of experience in education and libraries. She has served in leadership roles at the Ventura County Office of Education, where she is the Librarian of Record for county schools and champions countywide literacy initiatives, including bringing Battle of the Books to Ventura County students. A dedicated advocate for the transformative power of reading, she believes libraries open doors to opportunity and imagination. Her commitment to literacy is woven throughout both her personal and professional journey. Outside of her work, Ashlee enjoys spending time with her family and is an enthusiastic reader and writer.
